BETH SHIFRA, which has helped New York's Jewish community for over 30 years. They have been involved in many projects over the years. This year we ran again our FREE PASSOVER SEDERS. We cordially invited ANYONE who needed a Seder to JOIN US on WEDNESDAY NIGHT, APRIL 16 and/or THURSDAY NIGHT, APRIL 17, at GEORGIE'S RESTAURANT (16th Avenue and 45th Street) in Boro Park.
Our sedarim had interpreters in ENGLISH, RUSSIAN, YIDDISH and HEBREW. There was absolutely NO CHARGE to anyone who came for a Seder through us, and SINGLE PEOPLE, COUPLES and FAMILIES WERE ALL WELCOME!
During ALL EIGHT DAYS OF PASSOVER (Wednesday night, APRIL 16 through Thursday, April 24), Beth Shifra ran a Kosher-for Pesach FREE MEALS PROGRAM at Georgie's, serving lunch and dinner and giving out take-home food parcels of chicken, wine, matzah, etc. We also offered a program of other enjoyable Passover activities, including Torah classes and musical entertainment, all FREE OF CHARGE. BETH SHIFRA INVITED ALL TO ATTEND OUR FREE PASSOVER SEDERS IN BORO PARK- WEDNESDAY NIGHT, April 16 & THURSDAY NIGHT April 17. Our turn out consisted of all segments of our Jewish population. We had families, immigrants,visitors,singles and seniors. Baruch Hashem (Thank G-d) it was another great year. These were the scheduled times.
